Let Your Voice Be Heard: Police Accountability and Transparency

Please join the Sacramento Community Police Commission’s Accountability Ad Hoc Committee to discuss transparency in the Sacramento Police Department Wednesday, July 20, at 6 p.m.

Who: Sacramento Community Police Commission Ad Hoc Committee

When: Wednesday, July 20, at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall, Room 1119 (Ground Floor)

Please join the Sacramento Community Police Commission’s Accountability Ad Hoc, to discuss transparency in the Sacramento Police Department.

The Police Commission has formed an Ad Hoc Committee to review transparency and information sharing when a significant police event occurs. A significant police event includes, but is not limited to, an inmate death while in police custody and officer-involved shootings.

The Ad Hoc Committee will be presenting the results of its review on this topic to the full Commission and the Sacramento City Council. In order to have a well-rounded perspective on this topic, the Ad Hoc Committee would first like to hear from you, the community. The meeting is another opportunity to provide input following the July 7 ad hoc meeting.

Please join the members of the Ad Hoc at City Hall, Room 1119 (Ground Floor) on Wednesday, July 20, at 6 p.m. This will be an informal meeting so feel free to come and share your opinion or talk to members of the Police Commission off-the-record about your concerns. See you there!
